The first weekend in October offered Los Angeles Estonian music lovers a wonderful event.  At the Filter Magazine Culture Collide Festival, Ewert and The Two Dragons, which is gaining significant popularity momentum in Europe, hit the concert stage "boards" to perform for the audience.  For the next two days, our Estonian boys gave three concerts giving opportunities for many Southern California Estonians to revel in their music. Of the three concerts, the one presented at the Origami Vinyl Records shop was a unique performance indeed.  Standing among thousands of obviously used vinyl record albums in the narrow room which was decorated with picturesque music oriented posters and lit by incandescent light bulbs, as I listened to the music I found myself developing a connection, not with Ewert and The Two Dragons band, but instead with the music in its wider context.  A pleasant surprise was discovering a copy of their "Good Man Down" album cover looking back at me from one of the walls.  Regardless of the somewhat pervasive hot temperature in the cozy store, this venue was a well-chosen site by the festival's producers. The last performance at the Echoplex Club was, without doubt, the best with respect to sound and lights, with members of the Estonian public front and center adding a measure of lively ambience to all, giving reason enough for everyone to enjoy the concert.  Though normally mellow and reserved in character, the "boys" were nevertheless able to effortlessly engage the audience with their indie rock music and interesting song content.   I wish Ewert and The Two Dragons boys a successful North American tour and look forward to meeting with them soon in Los Angeles.   Indrek Mändmets
