New York, NY — Less than a week left to go for the 7th Annual New York Baltic Film Festival (NYBFF) presented by Scandinavia House! From November 6-17, 2024, in-person and virtual screenings of the best new films from the Baltic region will be presented alongside film talks with directors, producers, and more.
Also added to the weekend lineup is a Sustainable Design Showcase on Saturday, November 9 exploring work from Baltic and Nordic designers — including Estonian fashion designer Reet Aus, costume designer for the film 8 Views of Lake Biwa — through a “Trash to Trend” workshop and meet and greets. All in-person festivalgoers also receive a 10% discount at Björk Café & Bistro (located on the ground floor of Scandinavia House), including meals, snacks, and drinks.
Six films from the festival will be available to view from home: Life and Love and 8 Views of Lake Biwa (Estonia); Maria’s Silence and A Postcard From Rome (Latvia); and The Mammoth Hunt and Parade (Lithuania).
