THE ESTONIAN AMERICAN FUND PRESS RELEASE
The Marshall D.Shulman Book Prize,sponsored by the Harriman Institute of Columbia University is awarded annually for an outstanding monograph dealing with international relations, foreign policy, or foreign-policy decisionmaking of any of the states of the former Soviet Union or Eastern Europe.
Honorable mention was awarded to Professor Lauri Mälksoo’s study Russian Approaches to International Law (Oxford University Press).
The award will be presented at the Association for Slavic, East European and Eurasian Studies (ASEES) convention, November 17-20 in Washington, D.C.
The Estonian American Fund supports Professor Mälksoo’s initiatives such as the Martens’ summer school of international law, and developing a Master’s program on the Tallinn campus of Tartu University.
