A delegation from the Estonian Ministry of Culture was in DC in the beginning of April. They brought with them two kannels (kannel is a traditional Estonian string instrument that has been a part of local culture for 2000 years) that found new homes. One kannel was donated to the Smithsonian Institution and the other to the Kennedy Center.
