The Estonian-Latvian co-production film “Surematu” (“Immortal”) had a sold out US premier on February 11, at New York’s MoMA, The Museum of Modern Art as part of the Doc Fortnight series.
Congratulations to director Ksenia Okhapkina and producer Riho Västrik!
Ksenia Okhapkina’s Estonian/Latvian “Surematu” (“Immortal”), Best Documentary Grand Prix winner at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, takes a visually impressive and almost sci-fi like approach to the themes of indoctrination, ideology, an oppressive system and an imperceptible lack of freedom.
Also screening on Sat., Feb. 15, 6:30 pm at MoMA.
