Neeme Järvi kontserdid

Jaanuari lõpus dirigeeris Neeme Järvi järjekordselt New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) kontserte New Jerseys. Teatavasti oli Järvi aastatel 2005-2009 NJSO muusikadirektor. Tema praegune tiitel NJSO juures on Conductor Laureate ning seetõttu külastab Järvi aeg-ajalt oma endist tööpõldu.
NJSO jaanuari kontsertide teema oli vee olemuse väljendumine muusikas.  

Kahte kava juhatas praegune muusikadirektor Jacques Lacombe, viimast aga Neeme Järvi. Et näha kuivõrd see looduse element on heliloojaid inspireerinud, selleks pruugib vaid meenutada helitöid nagu Händeli “Water Music”,  Smetana “The Moldau”  või Straussi “Sinine Doonau”.  Ja nii oli vastavalt valitud ka N. Järvi kontserdi kava. See koosnes järgmistest helitöödest:
A. Dvořak’i muusikaline poeem “Veevaim” (op. 17)
E. Elgar’i laulutsükkel  “Mere pildid”  (op. 37)
P. Tšaikovski süit balletimuusikast  “Luikede järv”  (op. 20a)
Elgari teoses oli solist mezzosopran J’nai Bridges.
Dvořaki teos on üsna pikk, umbes 20 minutit, ja ta sisu on laenatud Böömimaa mütoloogiast. Selle kohaselt elab tumeda veega järves pahatahtlik veevaim, kes röövib järve ligidal elava noore tütarlapse. Sünget muinasjuttu kirjeldavas muusikas on seetõttu rohkelt müstilisi alatoone ja keerlevaid, ähvardavaid elemente. Orkester andis hästi edasi teose meeleolu, tänu pilli-rühmade ja dirigendi sujuvale koostööle.
Inglise helilooja Edward Elgari tsükkel koosneb viiest laulust, mille sõnad pärinevad eri  autoritelt. Laulud tegelevad mereliste teemadega, nagu “Sea Slumber Song”, “The Swimmer” jt.   Noore lauljanna suurepäraselt koolitatud hääl sädeles eriti kõrgetes registrites, kuigi madalamad kohati jäid vahel orkestrisaate varju. Kaasakiskuv ettekanne pälvis erilise aplausi ning lisapalana korrati ühte lauludest.
Tšaikovsky ballett  “Luikede järv”  on üldtuntud ja selle muusika osadest koosneb esitatud süit, mis väljendab väga erinevaid tundeid – õrnadest valssidest kuni hoogsate ungari ja hispaania tantsudeni. NJSO andis Järvi juhatusel oma parima. Siingi nõudsid publiku ovatsioonid lisapala.  Selleks oli vene tants “Trepak” Tšaikovski balletist “Pähklipureja”.     
Jääb ainult soovida, et Neeme Järvi edaspidi jälle New Jerseyt külastaks. Tema lubaduse kohaselt on seda oodata kord aastas.
