Along the many pathways to freedom that started with the mass flight from Estonia 80 years ago, our stories evolve to this day. You can engrave that story right into the heart of North America’s 4th largest city, at KESKUS: Estonian Arts Centre presents the Pathway to Freedom paver stone project at KESKUS International Estonian Centre. Paver stones inscribed with our stories will be placed within the concentric circles of waves into the KESKUS courtyard.
These stones will preserve this chapter of history, and continue to tell our stories even after we’re gone. Igal eestlasel on loendamatuid lugusid oma pere saatusest. Hoiame oma rahva ajalugu päevakorral, et ka meie enda tulevased põlvkonnad seda ei unustaks.
Each paver stone is approximately 12″ x 12″ (30cm x 30cm). The cost per paver is CDN$1,944* which is a nod to the year of the mass flight from Estonia, 1944. Engra-ving is an additional fee.
