Cook County Illinois Treasurer Maria Pappas hosts a display of Christmas trees each year that represent different ethnic groups in Cook County. Estonian American National Council member Gilda Karu has decorated an Estonian tree for many years.
The photo shows Gilda with this year’s tree and the other photo is a close up of the decorations which are in a blue, black and white theme. The Estonian tree is the second one and is right next to the United States tree.
