According to data from Euromonitor, Estonia is in the global top 20 for chocolate consumption per capita.
Estonians currently spend 68.55 euros per person on chocolate annually.
The Swiss lead the chocolate lovers pack, expected to spend 213.84 euros per person in 2015. Ireland and the UK have the second and third highest spenders at 132.69 euros and 131.90 euros respectively.
The bulk of sales in chocolate confectionery in Estonia is in the hands of well-known brands, with Kalev being the firm favorite. Kalev, which was founded over 200 years ago, had a 40 percent market share in 2014, followed by Finnish-owned Fazer with 11 percent.
Euromonitor said that more than 90 billion euros will be spent on chocolate around the world in 2015.
