The Estonian Amateur Athletic Association (Eesti Spordiliit USAs) conducted its annual fall fundraiser golf gathering at Tooni Männik’s beautiful Pine Barrens golf course on Oct 15th.
The tournament took place the day after EANC’s 70th Esto Community Celebration Awards dinner at the Lakewood Estonian House. EAAA was one of 2 recipients of the “Outstanding Contribution to the Estonian American Community” award. Thank you, EANC, for honoring us with this prestigious accolade!
The Sunday tournament managed to gather 16 players despite the pouring rain the day/night before. Sunday turned out to be perfect golf weather for our team format event. The top 3 team finishers were as follows:
First Place – Even Par Valter Must & Tooni Männik Second Place – 4 over par: Tarmo Pallop, Eric Pallop & Andrus Ers Third Place – 4 over par (3rd place due to back nine tie breaker calculation) – John Patrick & Steve Brill.
There was also an individual competition for Longest Drive – winner Valter Must and Closest to the Pin, Steve Brill.
Congrats to Valter & Tooni for taking home this year’s traveling trophy and also a “Hästi Tehtud” to all of the other competitors.
A great turnout and a great time was had by all – “elagu Eesti golf.”
