While the Lakewood Eesti Mängud organized each summer by Spordiliit USA was cancelled this year, 20 golfers nonetheless gathered for a competition at Lakewood Country Club.
The golf tournament served to keep alive the 67-year-old string of meeting up at Lakewood to celebrate ESTO sport, friendships, and culture.
It was especially remarkable to have the “19 Hole” get together at the Lakewood Estonian House – so many thanks to the Lakewoodi Eesti Ühing who provided the outside grounds for gathering space which gave us lots of room for social distancing.
This included a grill, picnic tables and homemade hapukapsasupp courtesy of Erik Must.
Raivo provided great Esto music from his van which helped make the event very festive.
Bragging rights for this year’s tournament go to:
Winner Low Gross – Jaani Tassa 79
Ladies Winner – Liisa Sestrich – 109
Senior Mens Winner – Carl Skonberg – 88
Callaway Winner- Carl-Erik Skonberg – 74

The scores for the rest of the field ranged from 89 to 120 – having said that, everyone who participated was a winner!
