General Elections for EANC´s XXIII Council take place this year. consider running for Council – To share your experience, represent your fellow Estonian Americans, and make a difference consider a run for council! Council work offers many opportunities to work on committees and special projects related to your interests.
Council members are elected for 4 years. Council size may vary from 20 – 50 members, depending on the number of candidates. The Council meets at least once a year, usually in Fall, to review past activities and to vote on the upcoming year´s budget and activity plan.
The Council´s mission is to help preserve and promote Estonian cultural heritage; to foster ties with and to represent the interests of Estonian Americans and their organizations; and to support the maintenance of democratic institutions in, and cultural exchange with, Estonia. Candidates must live in the U.S., be at least 21 years old on the day of the election, either possess Estonian citizenship or be eligible for it, belong to the Estonian community through family relationship, and attest to this on application.

Applications must be submitted via email no later than May 26 at 12:30 am Eastern.
