ERR News – The Reform Party's leadership decided at a meeting on March 9, to start coalition talks with IRL (Pro Patria and Res Publica Union), leaving out the Social Democrats, with whom they also held preli-minary discussions, Reform spokesman Silver Pukk told uudised.err.ee.
Reform's Secretary General Kristen Michal has said that the new government could be in place by the beginning of April. Once the National Electoral Committee has addressed voter appeals, the new Parliament will, within 10 days, meet for its first session, at which the current government will stand down.
Together, the Reform and IRL have 56 seats in the 101-member legislature (Riigiko-gu), six more than in the previous Parliament. In the opposition, the Centre Party's representation was reduced by three seats to 26, while the Social Dems won nine seats ending up with 19. Greens and the People's Union were eliminated from Parliament.
