Moose Helps Rescue of Elderly Woman
A short country walk ended up potentially saving a human life last week due to an extraordinary set of circumstances in the central Estonian town of Paide which, thanks to the appearance of a moose, led a nature photographer to find an elderly woman.
She had gotten into trouble after going walking the previous day and was forced to spend the night outdoors, the regional daily Järva Teataja reported.
A moose lying and feeding nearby attracted the attention of passersby, who thereafter noticed the woman lying in an adjacent ditch who may otherwise easily have gone unnoticed.
