Estonia to Organize Virtual UN Security Council Session on Afghanistan
On November 20, an informal high-level virtual session of the UN Security Council “What can the Security Council do to support the peace process in Afghanistan?” will be held.
The event was initiated and is being organised by Estonia with the help of other UN Security Council members.

Hans Noormets, a musician and dance music producer from Viljandi, who performs under the artist name Rozell, has reached listeners on far shores with his new song “Critical”.
The song appeared on two British hit music charts at the beginning of this past week.
Tallinn Christmas Market to Take Place on Smaller Scale
After some speculation about whether Tallinn’s traditional Christmas Market on the Town Hall Square would be held this year, due to continuing pandemic concerns, it has now been announced that a scaled-down version of the holiday favourite will be held.
The Christmas tree was set to be erected on the square on November 19, but due to very windy weather the event has been postponed until next week.
Six Estonians Make List of World’s Top Scientists
Clarivate Analytics, which monitors world science, has once again published its 2020 list of top scientists.
This time there will be six Estonians on the list, five of whom work at the University of Tartu and half of whom study mushrooms.
The list includes more than 3,000 influential natural and social science researchers from around the world.
