On March 26, 30 years ago, Mr. Jaak Treiman became the honorary consul of Estonia in Los Angeles. Mr. Treiman is the longest serving honorary consul of our country.
Mr. Treiman was nominated to the position by Mr. Ernst Jaakson, Estonian Consul General in New York. As the US did not recognize the occupation of Estonia by the Soviet Union, Mr. Jaakson was able to continue his work and also nominate honorary consuls.
We congatulate Mr. Treiman on this anniversary and thank him for his outstanding work!
