Two new podcasts look back at the late 80’s and early 90’s, and the events surrounding the fall of the Soviet Union and Estonia regaining its independence.
Vermont Public Radio’s podcast series “Timeline” presented a four-part series on Estonia’s Singing Revolution earlier this year “Timeline: The Singing Revolution” (in English).
Vikerraadio’s long-running series “Eesti lugu” is producing a special miniseries entitled “Äratulek,” which paints a picture of cultural and political circumstances in the late Soviet years, as well as in depth looks at the events of the independence period with scholars and pivotal figures (in Estonian).
