ERR News – Arvo Pärt held on to his place as the world’s most performed living composer for a third straight year and rose a whopping 14 spots on Bachtrack’s all-time list.
The top three were, somewhat unsurprisingly, Mozart followed by Beethoven, then J. S. Bach.
“La Traviata” was the most performed opera and the most popular orchestra work was Handel’s “Messiah.”
The second-most performed living composer was Britain’s James MacMillan (45th overall) ning film score composer John Williams (77th).
Pärt is 38th on the overall list.
