From: We can’t wait to see you – It’s been too long!
To: It was so great to see you – It was so much fun!
Kati and I are home at Karu mets, reflecting on the amazing journey it was to LEP2022. We travelled many miles to find the perfect location and we think we did just that, a beautiful spot overlooking the magnificent Agate Passage in Puget Sound. Our adventures took us to many unique places where we discovered fun activities only true to the Pacific North-west. Along the way we met the mythical Metsanõid who introduced us to her magical elixir and shared ghost stories and lessons of PNW history.
We enjoyed three days surrounded by blue sparkling water and bathed in the sunshine of bright blue skies. The absolute perfect location and weather for Estonians from near and far to sing, dance, play games, and celebrate our traditions and culture. During these three days of LEP2022, we were reminded of what it means to be Estonian. Yes, even 5″ bears.
Kati and I have now hung up our dancing shoes, (well, they are imaginary shoes since bears don’t wear shoes) and are sipping on our magical elixir, preparing for our long winter’s nap. I am sure we will enjoy many a sweet dream from all the memories that were made at LEP2022. Until we meet again, at LEP2026 in San Francisco, California.
