On February 25th, San Francisco Estonians celebrated the 105th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia at the San Francisco Latvian House.
Actor Sepo Seeman provided entertainment to a full house. Korp!Vironia USA and Mai-Liis Bartling (San Francisco Estonian Society) were awarded certificates of appreciation from the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their dedication and hard work, presented by Consul General Ann Hänni.
Throughout the evening, Mati Otsmaa received the first Estonian Preservationist award from the SF Estonian Society for his years of work for the San Francisco Estonian community. The San Francisco Estonian Community Choir, under the direction of Crista Berryessa, performed. The choir hopes to attend the Estonian Song Festival again in 2025.
The program was followed by networking, socializing, and cake cutting. The event was organized by the San Francisco Estonian Society and Korp!Vironia, with support from the Estonian Consulate in San Francisco.
