The Connecticut Estonian Society (CES) will hold its annual observance of Victory Day (võidupüha) and St. John’s Night (jaaniõhtu) on Saturday, June 22nd (rain date Sunday, June 23rd same time) at the Estonian Society’s Land (Eesti maa), 25 Times Farm Road, Andover, CT 06232.
The gate will open at 3:00 p.m. for volleyball and other activities. A BBQ picnic dinner with side dishes and desserts will be served. Bring along your favorite dessert to share. After dinner, the traditional Victory Day bonfire will be ceremoniously lit, followed by an evening of singing beloved Estonian songs around the bonfire accompanied by guitar. People are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. The donation for dinner is $15 for adults. Children under eighteen are free. Enjoy our beautiful Estonian Land with fellow Estonians, friends, and family.
