In September, San Francisco welcomes the mixed youth choir Vox Populi (voxpopuli.ee) from Estonia to the Bay Area
Vox Populi is best known for its performances of the music of Veljo Tormis, and has received many international awards.
The SF Eesti Selts was successful in getting a small grant this year from the Culture Ministry in Estonia to encourage cultural exchange between performers from Estonia and the Estonian community here, and hosting the Vox Populi performance will be the first event in this project.
While the date of the performance is still to be determined, the choir will be in the area on September 23–29.
If you can help provide a homestay for choir members during that time, please contact Mai-Liis Bartling ( –[email protected]).
